Welcome, Lewisville-Clemmons neighbors to your latest community update! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
December is officially in full swing in LewisvilleâClemmons, and this weekâs newsletter is packed with ways to get out and enjoy it.
This week brings two of our communityâs most beloved traditions â the Lewisville Tree Lighting at Shallowford Square and the Clemmons Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony â both ready to light up the season with music, cocoa, and small-town holiday magic.đ
From our Holiday Events Guide and a charming Victorian Christmas at the Historic Nissen House, to Thunderbirds hockey highlights, local high school sports action, and a look at new WS/FCS superintendent Dr. Don Phipps, thereâs something for every neighbor.
Weâre also shining a spotlight on a sweet local tradition at Mrs. Hanesâ Moravian Cookies.

Grimsley Whirlies delivered a commanding defensive performance on a freezing Friday at Jamieson Stadium, defeating the Reagan Raiders 24-7 in the NCHSAA playoff quarterfinals.
Quarterback Faizon Brandon ignited Grimsleyâs offense with a 7-yard rushing touchdown, answered by Reaganâs John Evans Jr., who tied the score early and posted 95 first-half rushing yards.
With a clutch 30-yard field goal by Chase Huellmantel, Grimsley took a narrow 10-7 halftime lead.
After the break, Grimsleyâs defense suffocated Reagan, forcing negative yardage in the third quarter and fueling momentum for a 56-yard Brandon-to-Kaden Catoe touchdown pass.
