Quote Of The Day |
"The giving of gifts🎁 is not something man invented. God started the giving spree when He gave a gift beyond words, the unspeakable gift of His Son." - Robert Flatt |
The Lewisville Historical Society has expanded its digital collection, adding 53 issues of The Lewisville Citizen (1956–1961), 20 yearbooks from local schools, a Forsyth County map, and the history book Shallow Ford Country to DigitalNC.
This archive lets residents explore articles on traditions like May Day, the Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department, senior trips, and the annual "Citizen of the Year" honor.
Shallow Ford Country, written by G. Galloway Reynolds, explores the roots and growth of the Shallow Ford area, a significant crossing on the Yadkin River.
The new yearbooks come from Southwest High, West Forsyth, and Lewisville High, with distinct covers reflecting each school’s legacy.
The recently restored Historic Nissen House, managed by the society, now hosts events in a unique blend of Victorian history and modern comfort.
These updates highlight the society’s active role in preserving and celebrating Lewisville’s heritage. Read More... |
As Lewisville-Clemmons braces for winter weather, preparing your vehicle is essential for both safety and performance during colder months.
Dennis Harris of Dennis Automotive highlights the importance of preventive maintenance—checking batteries, tire pressure, and engine antifreeze—to avoid winter troubles.
Cold temperatures can drain car batteries quickly, so have yours tested and keep terminals clean.
Ensuring the right antifreeze mix protects your engine from freezing, while regular tire pressure and tread checks boost traction on slick roads.
Consider winter tires for added grip in snow and ice.
Visibility is key—replace wiper blades and use winter-grade washer fluid to prevent freezing, and always check that headlights and taillights are in working order.
Carrying an emergency kit with blankets, water, and jumper cables is a practical safeguard in case of roadside trouble.
Smart driving habits and preparation help keep local drivers safe all winter. Read More... |
Lewisville–Clemmons real estate remains steady as winter deepens, with the market showing subtle but important shifts.
Single-family homes are still selling, with closed sales up 7.5% year-to-date and average time on market now 43 days.
Sellers are seeing near-asking prices for well-priced, move-in ready homes, while buyers benefit from a slightly more balanced market and stable median prices.
Townhomes and condos are gaining momentum—closed sales climbed 30% and prices are rising due to demand from first-time buyers and downsizers.
Looking to 2026, analysts predict gradually lower mortgage rates, increased inventory, and opportunities for those who act strategically.
Pricing accuracy and presentation will remain critical for sellers, while buyers find improved leverage and selection.
The region’s market is balanced and opportunity-driven, shaped more by local demand and preparation than by national trends.

PJ Dean, a standout four-star defensive lineman from West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, has committed to the University of Georgia, choosing the Bulldogs over rivals South Carolina and Ohio State.
At 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, Dean ranks as the nation’s No. 7 defensive lineman and No. 66 overall prospect for the class of 2026.
He brings not only athleticism and versatility to Georgia’s line, but also a personal connection – his brother, Jared Wilson, starred for Georgia and was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2025.
Dean transformed himself by losing 40 pounds and shifting from offensive to defensive line, catching the eye of Georgia’s defensive line coach, Tray Scott.
