Manuel named Player of the Year and Brim Coach of the Year |
On March 12, the Central Piedmont Conference recognized the exceptional contributions of West Forsyth High School's boys basketball program by honoring standout player Kamauri Manuel and head coach Marlon Brim.
Manuel, the stand-out junior guard, was awarded the CPC Player of the Year award and was a pivotal force for the Titans throughout this season. Averaging 12.5 points per game, he also led the team with 6.0 assists and 2.6 steals per game, showcasing his all-around skills on the court.
Coach Brim was awarded CPC's Coach of the Year. Under the leadership of Coach Brim, the Titans achieved a remarkable 24-0 regular-season record, including a perfect 10-0 in conference play. This undefeated streak earned them the top seed in the NCHSAA Class 8A playoffs, reflecting the team's dominance and cohesion.
In the playoffs, West Forsyth continued their impressive run, advancing to the regional final. Despite a hard-fought overtime battle, they narrowly fell to West Charlotte with a final score of 74-70, concluding their season with a commendable 26-1 record.
The recognition of Manuel and Brim by the Central Piedmont Conference underscores the dedication and excellence that have become hallmarks of the West Forsyth boys basketball program. Their achievements have not only brought pride to the school but have also set a high standard for future Titans to aspire to. |
