East Coast Wings + Grill in Clemmons Welcomes New Owners Gregory and Dafni Ballas

Local couple brings deep-rooted hospitality experience to beloved neighborhood restaurant

East Coast Wings + Grill in Clemmons, North Carolina, is now under the ownership of husband-and-wife team Gregory and Dafni Ballas. Both bring extensive backgrounds in the restaurant industry and a shared commitment to community engagement.

Gregory, son of ECW+G CEO Sam Ballas, has been involved with the brand through real estate and development initiatives. Dafni grew up working in her family's restaurant business, the Michael Family Restaurant Group, and currently serves as its CEO, overseeing multiple concepts across North Carolina. Their combined experience positions them to enhance the dining experience at the Clemmons location.

"Dafni and I both grew up in restaurants—it's truly in our DNA," said Gregory Ballas. "We love the fast-paced environment, but more than that, we love the people who make it all happen. Our goal is to create a place where our team feels valued and where our guests feel at home every time they walk through the door."

The Ballases plan to be hands-on in daily operations, ensuring the restaurant reflects their vision for exceptional food, service, and hospitality excellence. They emphasize building a positive environment where the team feels supported and appreciated, believing that this energy naturally flows to guests, fostering loyalty one experience at a time.

To celebrate the new ownership and their commitment to the community, the Clemmons location is hosting a Community Day on Tuesday, November 18. The Ballases will be donating 10% of sales from the entire day to the local Ronald McDonald House to help support families with children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.

Located at 6340 Clemmons Point Dr., ECW+G of Clemmons continues to serve fresh, customizable menu offerings with over 50 flavors of award-winning wings. The restaurant provides a relaxed, comfortable setting perfect for family outings, catching a game, or picking up convenient carry-out options.

East Coast Wings + Grill is a full-service, family-dining franchise that spotlights Buffalo wings. The thoughtfully crafted menu also offers a variety of other options to satisfy every family member's taste buds. With locations throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, the franchise has secured a spot on the Entrepreneur and the Franchise Business Review's 2024 Top Food Franchise, Most Innovative Franchise, Most Profitable Franchise, Franchise Rock Star, and Top Franchise lists. The concept has also been named to the Franchise Business Review Hall of Fame for the past decade due to outstanding franchisee support and overall franchisee satisfaction. Additionally, East Coast Wings + Grill was also ranked on Franchise Times Top Franchise list. East Coast Wings + Grill is a member of the IFA, with CEO and Founder, Sam Ballas, serving as the vice chair of the association.
