Reagan Raiders Send Two to D1: Jacob Smith to NC State, Eisa Evans to App State

Dual-Sport QB Jacob Smith Early Enrollee at NC State While OL Eisa Evans Flips to Appalachian State

Jacob Smith, the standout quarterback for the Reagan Raiders, has officially committed to continue his athletic career at NC State University enrolling earlier this year for the spring semester.

Smith, a versatile dual-sport athlete, will not only join the Wolfpack's football team but also contribute to their baseball program.

His decision underscores his dedication to excelling in multiple arenas.

During his tenure at Reagan High School, Smith demonstrated remarkable prowess on the field.

In his sophomore year, he amassed nearly 1,500 passing yards and added 160 rushing yards, showcasing his dynamic playmaking abilities.

His junior season was off to a promising start, with impressive performances in the opening games.

However, an unfortunate ACL injury curtailed his season prematurely.

Despite this setback, Smith's commitment to NC State remains unwavering, reflecting his resilience and determination.

In a parallel development, Eisa Evans, a formidable offensive lineman from the same Reagan Raiders squad, has committed to Appalachian State University.

Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 270 pounds, Evans initially pledged to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

However, after receiving an offer from Appalachian State, he made the decision to flip his commitment, aligning with the Mountaineers' robust football program.

Evans' journey from junior varsity to varsity starter and now to a Division I commitment is a testament to his growth and dedication.

His decision to join Appalachian State highlights the program's appeal and its commitment to nurturing local talent.

The Reagan Raiders community takes immense pride in these athletes' achievements.

Smith and Evans' commitments not only reflect their individual talents but also the strength and caliber of the Reagan football program.

As they transition to the collegiate level, both athletes carry with them the support and best wishes of their hometown  Pfafftown fans, eager to witness their continued success on the field.
