Early Morning Blaze Causes Significant Damage to Local Establishments |
A fire erupted at a strip mall in Clemmons, North Carolina, affecting three businesses and prompting a substantial emergency response.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, just before 10 a.m., when Forsyth County Emergency 911 received a call reporting a fire at Deluxe Spa & Nail, located at 160 Westwood Village Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters from Clemmons, Lewisville, and Forsyth County departments encountered a working fire that was extending to adjacent businesses within the strip mall.
Additional fire departments were called in to assist, and the fire was eventually contained. Officials reported that one individual sustained minor burns to the face and hand while attempting to extinguish the fire. The victim was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for further care.
The fire affected three businesses within the strip mall. The Forsyth County Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating to determine the exact cause of the fire. In total, more than 50 firefighters responded to the scene, highlighting the severity of the incident.
