Residents who want a closer look at future transportation changes in Clemmons will have a chance to do just that at the upcoming Clemmons Transportation Summit on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Clemmons Branch Library, 6365 James Street. The event runs from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is designed as a come and go community event with free parking available.

According to the Village of Clemmons, the summit will give residents an opportunity to learn more about transportation projects, safety efforts, and regional mobility resources affecting the area. Participating groups are expected to include the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, AARP North Carolina’s CarFit Program, Piedmont Area Regional Transportation, and other community partners.

The event also includes a family-friendly element, with car seat checks from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. through Atrium Health, Safe Kids Northwest, and the Clemmons Fire Department, along with a bike safety book reading and bike helmet giveaway from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in partnership with Atrium Health, Safe Kids Northwest, and the Village of Clemmons.

For residents who care about traffic, safety, road improvements, and how people move around Clemmons, this looks like a worthwhile stop. It is also a good chance to connect directly with agencies and organizations involved in transportation planning and community safety.
