West Forsyth  Defensive Lineman PJ Dean Commits to Georgia

West Forsyth, Clemmons, NC, standout follows brother's legacy to University of Georgia

PJ Dean, a four-star defensive lineman from  West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, has officially committed to the University of Georgia, choosing the Bulldogs over strong competition from South Carolina and Ohio State.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 255 pounds, Dean is recognized as the No. 7 defensive lineman and the No. 66 overall prospect in the nation for the class of 2026.

His decision to join Georgia adds significant depth to the Bulldogs' defensive line.

Dean's commitment carries a personal connection; he is the younger brother of former Georgia center Jared Wilson, who was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Reflecting on his choice, Dean expressed a deep sense of belonging in Athens.

"I've been around Georgia for a while," Dean said during his official visit earlier this month.

"It already felt like home."

Initially recruited as an offensive lineman, Dean underwent a significant transformation, shedding approximately 40 pounds to enhance his agility and performance on the defensive front.

This physical evolution caught the attention of Georgia's coaching staff, particularly defensive line coach Tray Scott, who recognized Dean's potential as a formidable force on defense.

Dean's versatility and athleticism make him a valuable addition to Georgia's defensive scheme.

His ability to adapt and excel in multiple positions underscores the Bulldogs' commitment to developing well-rounded athletes.

With Dean's commitment, Georgia's 2026 recruiting class continues to strengthen, reflecting the program's ongoing success in attracting top-tier talent.

Fans eagerly anticipate Dean's contributions to the Bulldogs' defense in the coming seasons.

As Dean prepares to embark on his collegiate career, the Georgia community welcomes him with open arms, confident that he will uphold and enhance the legacy established by his brother and other Bulldog greats.

His journey from Clemmons to Athens is a testament to his dedication, resilience, and passion for the game.

In summary, PJ Dean's commitment to Georgia not only bolsters the Bulldogs' defensive lineup but also continues a family tradition of excellence within the program.

His decision reflects both personal ties and a belief in Georgia's ability to develop elite defensive talent.

As the Bulldogs look ahead to future seasons, Dean's presence is expected to make a significant impact on the field.
