West Forsyth Girls Basketball Team Secures Commanding Victory Over Mount Tabor

Titans' Dominant Performance Highlights Team's Resilience and Growth

In a decisive display of skill and determination, the West Forsyth Titans girls' basketball team triumphed over the Mount Tabor Spartans with a final score of 45-24 on Tuesday, December 2nd.

This victory not only avenged their previous loss to Mount Tabor but also marked the Titans' second consecutive win, underscoring their upward trajectory this season.

Leading the charge was Laila Jones, who delivered an exceptional performance by recording a double-double with 11 points and an impressive 23 rebounds, setting a new personal best.

Complementing her efforts, freshman, Armani Hyde also achieved a double-double, contributing 18 points and securing ten rebounds.

Their combined efforts were instrumental in the team's success.

Adding to the team's robust performance, Brandie Davis made significant contributions with eight points and three steals, further solidifying the Titans' defensive and offensive prowess.

The Titans' dominance was particularly evident in their offensive rebounding, where they amassed 23 offensive boards, starkly outpacing Mount Tabor's seven.

This aggressive approach on the glass provided numerous second-chance opportunities, which the team capitalized on effectively.

With this win, West Forsyth's record improved to 3-2, reflecting their resilience and growth as the season progresses.

Mount Tabor's loss brought their record down to 1-3, highlighting the challenges they face in the current season.

Demonstrating their momentum, the Titans quickly returned to the court and secured another victory against Page High School on December 4th, with a final score of 49-29.

This back-to-back success underscores the team's commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

As the season unfolds, the West Forsyth girls' basketball team continues to showcase their talent and determination, promising an exciting journey ahead for players and fans alike.
