Clutch Coffee Bar, a favorite in Clemmons, will soon change hands as itâs acquired by Dutch Bros, an Arizona-based coffee giant expanding rapidly across the country.
All Clutch locations, including the longtime spot at 2432 Lewisville Clemmons Road, will close for renovations on January 16 at 4 p.m., reopening soon after under the Dutch Bros brand.
Founded in 2018 by Darren Spicer, Clutch built a loyal following for its drive-thru service and local engagement.
Spicer, a former Dutch Bros manager, expressed confidence the merger will preserve Clutchâs welcoming spirit and values, while expanding community outreach.
Clutch Rewards points and gift cards will transfer to Dutch Bros, with deadlines set for 2026.
The change brings excitement and nostalgia, as residents prepare for Dutch Brosâ energetic service and creative menu items like the Caramelizer and Annihilator. Read More... |

The West Forsyth High School varsity cheerleading team claimed the state championship in the Small Varsity Coed D1 Game Day Division at the NCHSAA Cheerleading Invitational in Concordâs Cabarrus Arena and Events Center.
After a tight contest, West Forsyth edged out Cox Mill High School with a score of 78.50 to 77.70, with Dudley High School close behind.
This winning squad features captains Avery Garraghty, Kenzie Bullins, and Trinity Gress, and is guided by coaches Naomi Channel and Hayli Harley.
The junior varsity team also impressed, earning second place under coaches Naomi Channel and Dellana Sell.

Two standout alumni from West Forsyth High School will compete in the high-stakes AFC Championship Game, with a coveted Super Bowl spot awaiting the winner.
Ja'Quan McMillian, now a Denver Broncos cornerback, and Jared Wilson, center for the New England Patriots, each began their football journeys at West Forsyth before rising to the NFL.
McMillian, born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, played at East Carolina University and made headlines with a crucial overtime interception that secured the Broncos' dramatic win over the Buffalo Bills.
Wilson went on to star at the University of Georgia, and now anchors the Patriots' offensive line after being picked in the 2025 NFL Draft.
